2010 card

Monday, November 15, 2010
Okay everyone - it is November 15th and that officially means the middle of November. We are approaching crunch time for two thing - Christmas cards and Christmas gifts!
I am going with Shutterfly this year. They are offering a great deal for bloggers, so if anyone else has a blog - check it out: Bloggers get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly… sign up: http://bit.ly/sfly2010
We will do two orders since we’re a multi-religion household. Shutterfly has Christmas cards (http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-cards) and Hanukkah cards that will be sent to our Jewish family (http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/hanukkah-cards). My favorite cards are the ones where you can put many photos on the front. We never take a really great family picture so I like how we can include the best pictures of each person.
I am also planning to make some photo gifts as I always do. There are always two guaranteed winners – the photo mug (http://www.shutterfly.com/photo-gifts/photo-mugs) and the calendar (http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars/wall-calendars). I am totally in love with how you can add a little photo to the actual date… never miss another birthday or anniversary!
Now if anyone is looking for the PERFECT gift – get a gift certificate! There’s always pictures on the computer that need to be printed! http://www.shutterfly.com/custom-photo-products/gift-certificates?c=50513&p=2009
Love to all!

Krissy's first eye exam
Krissy was a great patient - she listened to the doctor and did everything perfectly. She followed all the directions with a smile! I was so proud of her!
Funny story - so Krissy is learning to read via Hooked on Phonics. We do the lessons at night, which really focus on sounding words out. Okay so at the exam, the dr says "Can you read the bottom line?"
(Say the line is L A F V C 2) Wanna know what she says? "laaaa, laaa, aaah, aaah, faaa, faaa, vaaa, vaaa, caaa, caaa" then looks at me like "WTHECK there's a number in this word!?!?!" The doctor and I were holding back our laughter sooo much. He let her do the entire exam like that too.
Another one is that when we got home, Krissy told Bryan all about it. Then she whispers in his ear "It was like being Darth Vader!"
In the chair, all ready to go:

Checking each eye out by itself:

The doctor explaining how the lenses machine worked:

Krissy as Darth Vadar:

The doctor looking into her eye balls:

Krissy did not need glasses, but she really wanted them. She told the guy "My friend has Hannah Montana glasses and I really want them too!" She had these picked out:
